vetus - Power cruisers: great fun on the water
The vetus are great fun to cruise, with a large sun deck and second steering position. Dutch designer Pieter Beeldsnijder invented the revolutionary vetus; in contrast to traditional boat design, flat at the bow and high at the rear, he reversed this, resulting in a cruiser that is both modern and spacious. With bow and stern props and the streamlined underwater body, these boats are easy to manoeuvre.
Saloon
Saloon and pantry
The saloon is the centre of all indoor activity. Large windows provide light, atmosphere and great views no matter what. On board a vetus all members of the crew can be together, no one is isolated away cooking or driving because the pantry and steering positions are integrated with the saloon on one level. This layout is especially useful and safe for families with small children.
The pantry on the vetus boats is well equipped with dishes, cutlery, pots and pans and cooking utensils all neatly stored in cupboards and drawers. The sink supplies cold and hot water. The fridge can store all perishable goods. The gas-cooker and oven are economical and easy to use.
Cabin
Cabins and bathrooms
The vetus-boats have one, two, three or four-cabins. Each cabin has two or three berths, some double, some single and some bunk-beds. In all cabins you will find wardrobes and cupboards to store clothes and places to stow personal items. Please note that some of the bunk-beds or fold-down beds are only suitable for children.
On the vetus 900 and vetus 1000 each cabin has a bathroom. On the vetus 1200K3 and 1500 there are only two or three bathrooms on board. The vetus 1200K3 and 1500 have one cabin on the same level as the salon, accessible without steps. All bathrooms have running cold and hot water, shower, sink, toilet and a plug for electric razors.

The equipment
Bow-thruster
Most vetus models are fitted with a bow-thruster, some also with a stern-prop. These are small propellers that work sideways, making it easier to manoeuver a boat. You can operate them from both steering positions. All vetus models also have a bow anchor with winch; a second anchor provided in Germany.
The nautical equipment includes two steering positions with operation boards: one on the large sun deck with echo sounder (only in Germany and Poland), one in the saloon.
The clearance is about 2.75m; draught 0.85m. Around the sundeck, the gang boards on either side and the bow, there is a sturdy Niro railing to ensure you won't skid. All vetus boats also have a bathing-platform and ladder at the back.
The complete vetus fleet is equipped with 12-Volt-car-plug for your mobile phone or other electrical appliances and shore power. For fuel and water there are large tanks, ample that will last you at least a couple of days, very often longer depending on how much you use.
