Ideal bike areas

Mecklenburg Small Lakes

Ein Hausboot hält an einem Steg in romantischer Atmosphäre. Die Sonne spiegelt sich im See.

In the south of the Müritz begins the small lake district ain the heart of the Mecklenburg waters. The last ice age has left here more than 300 lakes. Today this region is predominantly national park and can be explored by bike. In the fall, thousands of cranes come here to rest and in the distance you will hear deers.

It's also worth a ride along the bike path in Berlin and a trip to the former ducal residence, Mirow.

The canal and the Mosel go partly through the regional natural park of Lorraine. The park contains unique flora and fauna, such as carnivorous plants in the marshes, orchids and gentian. If you are lucky you may see the grouse on the high pastures and wild lynx in the woods.

Along the way it is worth visiting the historic city Nancy, Metz Cathedral, the Art Museum and bustling Thionville. All of these places can be easily reached and explored by bike.
